A programme on Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam was successfully organized at Nagaland University on April 13, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, staff, and students.
The programme was led by Prof Kilangla Jamir, Dean, School of Science, and Prof Wangshimenla, Dean, Student Welfare. Approximately 150–200 participants, including women faculty members, non-teaching staff, research scholars, and UG and PG students, attended the programme and actively engaged in the proceedings.
Prof Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, Vice Chancellor, and Dr Abemo, Registrar, conveyed their best wishes and congratulated the organizing team for the successful conduct of the programme.
The theme of the event, “Campus to Parliament: Inspiring the Next Generation of Women Leaders,” highlighted the importance of empowering women and encouraging their active participation in leadership and decision-making roles.

At the conclusion of the event, the following resolution was adopted: “We reaffirm our collective responsibility to contribute towards building a just, inclusive, and progressive society where women are equal partners in shaping the future of our nation.”
A pledge on the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam was also administered: “I pledge to uphold the spirit of equality, dignity, and empowerment for every woman in our nation. I stand committed to supporting the vision of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, ensuring greater participation of women in decision-making and leadership.”
The programme concluded on a positive note, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment.
