The National Health Mission (NHM), under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, launched the ‘ASHA Connect’ App at the IDSP Conference Hall, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima on April 24.
ASHA Connect is a web-based application to enhance the efficiency, transparency and accountability of Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) incentive disbursement and performance monitoring across the State.
The implementation of ASHA Connect is expected to significantly reduce delays in incentive payments, improve transparency in financial transactions, enhance monitoring of ASHA activities, and to ensure availability of accurate real time data, thereby strengthening accountability across all levels.

The program was chaired by Dr Keveduyi Theyo, Mission Director, NHM and a brief overview of the app was given by Dr Thomas Keppen, Deputy Director, NHM. The ASHA Connect App was officially launched by Anoop Khinchi, the Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department and the program concluded with remarks delivered by Dr. Mereninla Senlem, Principal Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, Kohima.
