Unidentified body found hanging in Kohima; Police seek public help for identification

Kohima Police have sought the assistance of the public to identify an unidentified male whose body was found hanging from a tree at Khuochiezhü, below Forest Colony in Kohima on Tuesday morning.

According to PRO, Kohima Police, a telephonic report was received at around 10:38 a.m. regarding a body seen hanging from a tree. Following the information, a team from South Police Station Kohima, led by the Officer-in-Charge, rushed to the spot.

Upon arrival, the police found the body of an unidentified non-local male hanging from a tree branch approximately 15 feet above the ground. The deceased is estimated to be between 35 and 40 years of age, of fair complexion, and around 5.7 feet in height. He was reportedly wearing a red jacket, black T-shirt, and black shorts at the time of recovery.

After completing all necessary legal formalities, the body has been shifted to the South Police Station morgue for further identification.
