The Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) organised a felicitation programme for the HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2026 toppers on May 15 at the NAPO Building, Kezieke. The programme was chaired by Vimezo Chakrüno, Education Secretary, NASU, while the invocation prayer was pronounced by Neiphizo Metha, Associate Pastor, Police Union Baptist Church, New Reserve, Kohima.
Meteitoulie Talie, President of NASU, delivered the welcome address. Greetings were also shared by Meguoruovi Mepfhü-o, Vice President, Northern Angami Sports Association and Khriesazo Liezietsu, President, Northern Angami Youth Organisation. On behalf of NAYO, the President presented gifts to all the toppers. A special presentation session for the toppers was held, followed by a prayer session for their future endeavours.
Speaking on behalf of the toppers, Thepfukuolie Mere, HSLC Top 4 expressed gratitude to God for His blessings and thanked everyone for their prayers, encouragement and support.
Neisakholie Rüpreo, General Secretary of Northern Angami Public Organisation encouraged the students to pursue education with a vision to serve society rather than merely seeking jobs and wealth.
He also urged the youth not to remain idle and to value every form of honest work.

Kezhangunuo Chietsü, Vice President, Northern Angami Women Organisation advised the students to be wise, kind, disciplined and God-fearing, while reminding them that actions speak louder than words.
A special song was presented by Ruokuoseü Sanchu, Women Coordinator, NASU. Vikuonuo Khruomo, President of the Northern Angami Gazetted Officers Krotho encouraged the students to maintain discipline, have a clear vision in life, and never be discouraged by failures, while also reminding them to honour and obey their parents and teachers.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Choice Pielie, Social and Cultural Secretary, NASU. This was followed by the singing of “Ara Kezivi” and a mass prayer.
