A district-wide mass social work was successfully carried out across Wokha on May 23, as part of monsoon preparedness measures initiated by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Wokha.

The social work aimed to clean drainages, remove debris, and trim overgrown vegetation to ensure a safe and healthy environment, thereby minimizing risks of waterlogging, flooding, and waterborne diseases during the monsoon season.

Deputy Commissioner Wokha, K Mhathung Tsanglao, personally visited and inspected various sites across the district, interacting with colony representatives and encouraging collective responsibility in maintaining cleanliness and preparedness.
