Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B Henok Buchem, NCS has informed that nominations have been invited for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) Award in pursuance of the letter from the Ministry of Women and Child Development, received from the Office of the Social Welfare Department, Kohima.

The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is a prestigious national award announced annually to recognize children below the age of 18 years (as on 31st July 2026) for their outstanding achievements and contributions.

The award acknowledges exceptional contributions of meritorious young individuals in the fields of Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Art & Culture, and Science & Technology.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that nominations will remain open till 31st July 2026. Nominations may be submitted either by the children themselves or by third parties. Applications can be submitted online through the National Awards Portal under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Puraskar Portal at https://awards.gov.in.
