Eco Warriors Nagaland (EWN) and Nagaland Zoological Park, (NZP) Rangapahar officially signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 2 to establish a collaborative partnership focused on biodiversity conservation, environmental education, scientific documentation, and community engagement.
The MoU was signed by Enyiwekha Wezah, IFS, Director & DCF, Nagaland Zoological Park, and Tekameren I Jamir, Co-Founder, Eco Warriors Nagaland, in the presence of Watisungla Amar, RFO, Nagaland Zoological Park, along with members of Eco Warriors Nagaland.
The partnership aims to promote conservation awareness, biodiversity documentation, environmental stewardship, and public participation in conservation initiatives. A key component of the collaboration will be Eco Warriors Nagaland technical support in tree taxonomy and biodiversity documentation within the Zoological Park, including the identification and scientific documentation of tree species and other flora.

Both organizations will also work together on educational outreach programmes, awareness campaigns, cleanliness drives, volunteer engagement, nature-based learning activities, and capacity-building initiatives. The collaboration seeks to strengthen the role of the Zoological Park as a centre for conservation education while fostering greater environmental responsibility among communities and youth.
The signing of the MoU marks the beginning of a long-term partnership dedicated to conservation, education, research, and sustainable environmental action in Nagaland.
