The second batch training for Census Supervisors and Enumerators commenced on June 18 at the DC’s Office Complex, Kohima.

Addressing the trainees, SDO (Civil) Seikhrehietuo Solo underscored the importance of conducting an accurate Census and urged participants to actively engage during the training. He highlighted the need for reliable population data to support effective planning and implementation of government schemes.

Solo emphasized that enumeration must be based on the principle of “ordinary residence” and clarified that Enumeration Block maps are meant solely for Census purposes and not as official boundary maps. He also assured trainees of full support from the district administration throughout the Census operation.
