The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) organized a tree plantation drive as part of the Olympic Day 2026 celebration on June 23 along with the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and its Affiliated Associations. A total of 2,036 trees were planted across Nagaland, symbolizing a collective commitment towards environmental sustainability and a greener future under the theme of “Move, Inspire, Together”.
In line with the initiative of the Indian Olympic Association and in support of the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Forest initiative, the event witnessed the active participation of various sports associations, whose involvement greatly contributed to the success of the plantation drive.

Through this initiative, the Association hopes to inspire citizens, especially the youth, to contribute towards preserving nature while upholding the spirit of the Olympic Movement.
Meanwhile, the Nagaland Olympic Association expressed its sincere appreciation to all sports associations, athletes, officials, volunteers, organisations and members who supported and contributed to the success of the tree plantation drive.
NWA:

Under the aegis of the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA), the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) organized tree plantation drive as part of observing International Olympic Day 2026 in the premises of Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, Nagaland.
According to a press statement issued by NWA Joint Secretary, Kuzhovesa Soho, more than 60 tree saplings were planted as was provided by the NOA Office and was participated by 16 members comprises of NWA Officials and wrestlers. Upon planted good numbers of saplings, the NWA took a firm resolution to protect and preserve the saplings under good care till the saplings were maturely grown up.
The NWA wished that all sports Associations under NOA to take care of the day planted tree saplings and preserve for the cause of the upcoming generations.
