Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, B Henok Buchem, officially launched the FoodWiFi app at his chamber in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kohima on July 10.

CEO of FoodWiFi, Anato Sema said the app has been developed to generate employment opportunities, particularly for students and unemployed youth. He said the platform will enable students to work as delivery partners after their classes, allowing them to earn an income to support their education and assist their families.

Sema said the initiative also seeks to provide a local alternative to national food delivery platforms by offering restaurants fair and sustainable service rates, thereby strengthening local businesses.

He expressed hope that the app would encourage local entrepreneurship, create livelihood opportunities for the youth, and contribute to the economic growth of Nagaland. He also thanked the Deputy Commissioner for officially launching the platform.
