In view of the ongoing road blockage and clearing operations underway along the standard route, the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng has notified to all passengers and commuters traveling from Longleng to Kohima and Dimapur are informed of the following temporary arrangements:
Alternate Route: Commuters have been advised to travel via the designated alternative route issued from the DC office (Longleng-Tuensang-Chare-Mokokchung) until further notice, while the clearance and restoration work on the primary highway continues.
Luggage & Weight Restrictions: Due to the challenging terrain of the alternate route, passengers have been strictly requested to carry limited baggage (5 Kgs per passenger) and avoid overweight luggage to ensure vehicle stability and travel.

Revision in Taxi Fares: Owing to the extended distance and extra travel time along the alternate route, a temporary upward adjustment in commercial taxi fares has been sanctioned. Passengers have been requested to bear with the necessary increase in fares during this interim period as revised below: Longleng- Dimapur Rs. 1,600; Longleng– Kohima Rs. 1,500, and Longleng – Tuensang Rs. 600.
Resumption of Normal Route & Rates: As soon as the main road is fully cleared and restored for safe vehicular movement, normal transit routes to Kohima and Dimapur and along with the standard fare structure would resume immediately.
It requested all passenger vehicle operators and commuters to cooperate with the local authorities and traffic personnel to ensure smooth and safe transit.
