The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has announced that 367 students who were previously ineligible to apply for re-evaluation of their Nagaland University Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) semester examination results would now be given an opportunity to seek redressal.
The decision followed a meeting between ANCSU and Nagaland University authorities on July 27, convened in response to the Union’s appeal submitted on July 22 regarding concerns over the recently declared FYUGP semester results.
According to ANCSU, many affected students had either secured single-digit marks or failed to meet the existing 20 per cent minimum eligibility criterion required for re-evaluation, making them ineligible to challenge their results.
Following extensive deliberations, it was resolved that these students would first be allowed to inspect their evaluated answer scripts. ANCSU said it would facilitate the process with the University after receiving a consolidated list of eligible students.
If, after verification, a student is dissatisfied with the tabulation or award of marks, he or she would be permitted to apply for re-evaluation, irrespective of the existing eligibility criterion.

The Union also addressed grievances relating to the incorrect reflection of Minor subjects in the published examination results. Nagaland University informed ANCSU that colleges have been given one month to submit necessary corrections.
Students whose Minor subjects have been wrongly reflected have been advised to immediately approach their respective colleges so that corrections can be forwarded to the University within the stipulated period.
ANCSU has requested all students currently ineligible for re-evaluation to submit their name and University roll number through their respective college students’ councils within two days, enabling the union to pursue the matter collectively with the University.
The respective college students’ councils have been asked to submit the consolidated list to Assistant General Secretary Imnawabang T Longkumer.
