NPP constitutes interim committee for Nagaland unit pending appointment of new state president

The National People’s Party (NPP) has constituted an Interim State Committee for its Nagaland State Unit with immediate effect to ensure the smooth functioning of the party’s affairs pending the appointment of a new State President.

In an order issued by NPP National President Conrad K. Sangma, the interim arrangement will remain in force until a new State President is selected and appointed through the party’s prescribed organisational process.

The members of the Interim State Committee are: Chuba Jamir, James Vizo, Audrey Jamir, Eje Wangnyu Konyak; and Er H Khumtimong Sangtam (NPYF).

According to the order, the committee will assist the National Working President and the National Committee and will discharge responsibilities assigned by the National Working President or the National Headquarters from time to time.

The party stated that the interim committee will function in consultation with the National Working President and the National President until the process of selecting and appointing the new State President is completed.
