The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has expressed grief and deepest condolences on the tragic demise of two students, Muwalong Sangtam (19 Years), Class XII and Thsidiba Sangtam (16 Years), Class XI studying in Queen Mary Hr. Sec. School, sons of Merenba Sangtam of Alisopur Village who lost their precious lives in the devastating landslide at Penli Ward, Mokokchung, on the morning of July 29.
Mourning the untimely loss of these young lives, the AKM said their passing is an irreparable loss to their family, friends, educational institution and to the student fraternity as a whole.
In this hour of immense sorrow, the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and shares in their grief.
The Conference also expressed its sincere appreciation to the district administration, disaster response personnel, volunteers, civil society organisations and every individual who rendered selfless service during the rescue.
At this moment of collective mourning, the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) called upon the student community and the public to remain united in extending compassion, support and prayers to the bereaved family and all those impacted by this tragedy.

The Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) has also expressed grief at the tragic demise of two young students.
Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the MTLT prayed that God grant them strength, comfort and peace during the time of profound sorrow.
It said the tragedy is a great loss not only to the Sangtam community but also the people of Mokokchung.
The MTLT expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, the Sangtam community and all those affected by this tragedy.
United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has expressed shock and anguish at the tragic death of two young students in the landslide.
The USSC said the untimely demise of these young lives on the threshold of their future is an irreplaceable loss, not only to the bereaved family and Alisopur village, but to the entire community and the Sangtam community as a whole.
At this hour of grief, the USSC expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and extended sympathies, heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family and all near and dear ones.
