State College of Teacher Education, Kohima (SCTE-K) organized farewell programme to honor its outgoing Principal, Dr Elizabeth Walling, acknowledging her meritorious service and transformative leadership.

The function, held at the college premises, was chaired by Anisha Himb and attended by faculty members, non-teaching staff, and student-teachers.

Delivering the tribute on behalf of the teaching faculty, Dr Runi Nakro highlighted the significant milestones achieved and institutional progress made during Dr Walling’s tenure. Tributes from non-teaching staff, student teachers, and alumni commended her professional expertise, selfless dedication, and outstanding service to teacher education.

Speakers also fondly highlighted her exemplary humility, integrity, and kindness, noting how she nurtured and cared for the entire institution as an administrator.

In her farewell address, Dr Elizabeth Walling shared her reflections on the enriching journey of being an educator. She expressed her deep gratitude to the faculty, staff, and students for their unyielding support and cooperation throughout her journey at the college.

The programme featured a special musical presentation by the student teachers. The event commenced with an invocation by Rose Mary Achumi and concluded with a benediction prayer offered by Dr Khriezonuo Belho.
