Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Hiazu Meru inaugurated the Green Peren Store under the banner of ‘Our land nourishes us. Our hands grow it. Our pride shares it. And our future sustains it’ at the Jalukie Town, Peren on August 6.

Meru said that it has been the dream of the District Planning & Development Board of Peren to have such store which the board have discussed and planned for two years has been significantly fulfilled for the benefit of the farmers of Peren district. He also opined that Agri. & Allied department, Rural Development and others departments have taken many initiatives in various intervention to come up with such market. The DC said it needs to upskill with materials and resources with what they have.

Meru encouraged the Kingdom Steward for taken up the challenge to market the products and apprised them to be based on business model though it is a risk-taking business.

He also encouraged the youth who are involved in these ventures to dedicate their services and try to master it, and to work with enthusiasm and let the venture be a successful one. Expressing his happiness the DC concluded that the initiative has come into reality.
