Advisor for School Education, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, called for coordinated efforts among departments to address water supply, waste management and other pressing urban issues in Kohima.

During the Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting held at the DPDB Hall, Kohima, on August 17, Dr Yhome directed the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to submit a report on proposed water-treatment initiatives. He also called for preparedness by the Urban Affairs and Municipal Affairs departments in view of the Supreme Court directive on waste management.
