The Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has reached an agreement with thekedars, contractors, vendors, businessmen and other persons engaging non-local workers in Wokha district, requiring employers to ensure that all such workers possess government-prescribed documents, including a valid Inner Line Permit (ILP).

Under the agreement, employers and persons engaging non-local workers would be responsible for ensuring that workers under their supervision possess the required documentation. The LSU said that if any non-local worker is found working without the prescribed documents, the person under whom the worker is engaged would be held responsible and the Union will take action in accordance with its resolutions and established procedures.
