The Mangkolemba administration has advised the public to refrain from consuming liquor from unknown, unauthorised, doubtful or suspected adulterated sources in view of the public health alert issued by the Mangkolemba Community Health Centre regarding consumption of spurious liquor.

In an advisory, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Moakumzuk Tzudir urged the public to exercise caution and immediately seek medical attention if they experience gastric pain, dizziness, blurred vision, breathing difficulties, severe headache or loss of consciousness after consuming liquor.

The public has also been advised to inform the nearest medical centre, police station or concerned authority in such cases.

The administration further appealed to the public to provide any plausible information regarding the sale of adulterated liquor within Mangkolemba Sub-Division to the ADC’s office or the nearest police station.

The advisory comes amid a public health alert concerning suspected spurious liquor in the area.
