The Handing and Taking Over Programme of the Fazl Ali College Students’ Union (FACSU) was held on

September 25. The programme marked the formal transition of responsibilities from the outgoing student union to the newly elected team. The programme was chaired by Talisenla, Associate Professor, Department of Education, who welcomed the gathering and formally commenced the programme.

This was followed by an address by Dr I Wati Imchen, Principal, Fazl Ali College, who congratulated the outgoing team for completing their tenure and appreciated their efforts and dedication as student  leaders. He acknowledged their peaceful and successful tenure and congratulated them for their service to the college community.

Addressing the newly elected team, he congratulated them and thanked them for their willingness to take up the responsibility. He encouraged the new team to make use of their talents and abilities to contribute towards making the college better. He also urged them to set aside differences, work together, and understand and fulfil their responsibilities as student leaders.

The outgoing General Secretary of FACSU, Imdangmeren, then addressed the gathering. He congratulated the newly elected team and encouraged them to seek knowledge and guidance from God in all that they undertake. He particularly urged the incoming General Secretary to stand firmly in truth and carry out the responsibilities of the office with sincerity.

The formal handing and taking over of office between the outgoing and incoming General Secretaries was conducted by Mesutoba Ao, Convenor of the Election Committee, Fazl Ali College. Following the formal transition, Akumzulu addressed the gathering and expressed his commitment to working with dedication.

He also sought the cooperation and support of the newly elected union in carrying out their responsibilities and working towards the welfare of the student community.

The programme concluded with a Dedicatory Prayer led by Bendangsenla, Associate Professor and

Coordinator, IQAC, seeking God’s guidance and blessings upon the newly elected team as they began their tenure.
