Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, NCS has issued a circular urging all Government Departments, Educational institutions, Youth organisation and Stakeholders to extend wide publicity and encourage maximum participation in the upcoming State-Level Half Marathon under the initiative “SPANDAN- Sports for Peace and Development Across Nations”.

The Marathon which is scheduled to be held on October 5 at Kohima. The event is being organised by the 78 Battalion CRPF in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Government of Nagaland.

The initiative aims to promote peace, unity, harmony, inclusiveness and social integration through sports, while encouraging youth, students, sports enthusiasts and local communities to participate in sporting activities.

DC informed Sub-Divisional and Block- Level Officers, Head of Officers, Educational Institutions, Youth Clubs, Sports Associations, Civil Society Organisations and other concerned Stakeholders to ensure that the information reaches the grassroots level, so that interested participants from Kiphire District are adequately informed of the opportunity.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Mon, Pakon Phom, NCS has notified the citizen of Mon District that the State Level Half Marathon under “SPANDAN” – Sport for Peace and Development across Nations”, organised by the Office of the Commandant – 78 Battalion CRPF, Sechu – Zubza, Kohima, Nagaland in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Government of Nagaland at Kohima on October 5.

The citizens have been informed to participate in that State Level Half Marathon under “SPANDAN”.
