The semi final matches of the 7th edition of the Master Shield Trophy will take place on Thursday at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung where the first match will be played between Team Fuzz and Skylark Cricket Club and the second match between Dynamic Sports Active and Trebuchet CC.

The cricket tournament is being organised by the Mokokchung District T20 Cricket Federation.

On game day 3 (Wednesday), Dynamic Sports Active and Team Fuzz registering wins to enter the semi finals.

The first match of the day played between Dynamic Sports Active and Skylark, DSA won the toss and elected to bat first. DSA’s Andrew and Shamphri posted 34 and 22 runs in a attempt to knock the stuffing out of the Skylark bowling and made a total score total of 102 /9 in 19.3 overs. Skylarks’ Akavi and Moakumzuk picked up 4 and 2 wickets respectively.

In the second inning, Vijay and Moakumzuk posted 26 and 20 runs for Skylark but failed to contribute more as DSA’s Chaman and Raja Lama picked up 4 and 2 wickets to restrict Skylark to 86/9 in 20 overs.

Dynamic Sports Active won the match by 16 runs and it’s bowler Chaman was named ‘Man of the Match’.

In the second match of the day between Team Fuzz and All Starz 11, the former won the toss and elected to bat first. The combined trio of Sunep, Sanjay and Upendar posted 36, 35 and 37 during the encounter as they put up a formidable 182/8 in 20 overs. All Starz’s Sentiakum picked up 2 wickets.

Chasing the huge target, the All Starz 11 batting never really got going as they lost early wickets. Temjen offered some resistance but it was not enough as All Starz 11 were bowled out for 58/10 in 16 overs.

Upender of Team Fuzz was named ‘Man of the Match’.
