Sharingain Longkumer re-elected as NLA Speaker

Kohima: Longkumer filed his nomination for the post of Speaker on 18th March, proposed by Minister Temjen Imna Along and seconded by Advisor, Kekhrielhoulie Yhome.

Speaker protem, Mhathung Yanthan has declared Sharingain longkumer as the Speaker of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) during the first assembly session of the 14th NLA on Monday.

Longkumer filed his nomination for the post of Speaker on 18th March, proposed by Minister Temjen Imna Along and seconded by Advisor, Kekhrielhoulie Yhome.

No withdrawals were also made till the expiry of the date and time for withdrawals.

It may be mentioned that Longkumer was re-elected from the 26 Aonglenden Assembly Constituency on an NDPP ticket.
