Advisor Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, on Tuesday said that while much has been discussed about finding a solution to the protracted Indo-Naga political issue, he stressed on the need to find solutions in the education sector.
Participating in the general discussion of the Budget for the year 2023-24, Yhome mentioned that there are 1,939 government schools with some in dilapidated condition.
“I would also like to advice our Chief Minister, who is the minister of education, that we have spoken a lot about Naga political situation. Today, I would like to bring to his notice the need for a Naga education solution,” said Yhome.
He stressed the importance to tackle this challenge and use the Central and State resources for improving the education sector adding that this should be a collective effort and not only the responsibility of the School Education department.
