A Thanksgiving programme for TN Mannen (IAS RTD), Advisor Law, Justice & Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland was held at Community Hall, Longjang Village, Mokokchung on Saturday.
In his speech, TN Mannen stated that he was not a ‘King’ but a ‘representative’ of his people and so he is prepared to work for his people. He expressed his gratitude to all the people of Asetkong range for electing him to the 14th Nagaland Legislation Assembly Election and said that the Asetkong people has waited for this moment for 20 years.
“There is powerful strength in Unity,” he said, adding that “Asetkong will set off in unity” and called upon the people to be united with each other.
He mentioned that he is an Advisor to the Law & Justice and Land Revenue, which is not a development department. “Development might take some time but we can build our potential areas and make them grow with the efforts from all the villages under Asetkong range”, said Mannen. He also suggested that all the villages form a group and visit the potential areas and assured his support.
Further, he promised to work in the spirit of truth and bring innovative ideas to produce excellence.

Short speeches were delivered from M Teka Longchar (Chairman Sungratsu Village), Arentemsu (Chairman Mopungchuket Village), C Wati Walling (Chairman Yimchalu Village), Temsuwati Jamir (Chairman Chami Village), J Nungsang Aier (Chairman Longpa Village), Tongpang Aler (Chairman Khanimo Village), Imkongsashi (Vice Chairman Adhoc Committee Kobulang), Mr Imrongmeren Ozukum (Vice Chairman Adhoc Committee Yisemyong), Wapang (President NDPP 23rd Impur A/C), Lipokzulu (Vice President NDPP Mokokchung Region), Imolemba (President BJP Mokokchung Dist), Imtiyanger (Vice President NDPP Central) were delivered respectively.
A “Special Presentation” from Tiameren Aier was also witnessed during the programme.
Earlier the programme was chaired by Limatemsu Aier, Invocation by O Alang, Pastor of Kobulong Baptist Church, welcome address was delivered by L Chuba Jamir, Chairman of Longjang Village, M Temjen Jamir, Longjang Senso Telongjem presented the vote of thanks.
