Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship to commemorate Christ resurrection with the world celebrate Sunrise Service at NSF Solidarity Park today
Rev. Dr Zelhou Keyho General Secretary, Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) speaking on the occasion said, “We are gathered here today after 106 days after the Christmas”
He lamented on the take of our faith and said “today we have taken our faith for granted we think that being a Christian is magical, we are influenced so much on what is going on out there that we do not know how to filter what is right and what is wrong” adding that, social media has become a source of information Keyho said, “for some it has become the primary source and the Bible has become their secondary source”
“What goes around in social media seems to be more appealing than what the Bible says We forward message which says forward the message to different groups and you will receive the blessings“ Keyho added
Calling the congregation to serve the world Keyho said “we are too comfortable within the fours walls of our church, we are fencing ourselves with the beautiful structures we have put up, building structures has taken over building life”
“God didn’t come to this world for us to forward things, to create magic in our lives, he didn’t come to create a social club” he added
Further Keyho said, the power of God resurrection is not the invention of human kind, it is not the theology that we develop and face it to believe it but it is the demonstration of God’s power that completes our salvation and gives us indescribable life
“If Christ has not been raised our preaching is useless, our preaching is empty and so is your faith” he added
Dr. Ruokuovilie Sachü, Pastor, Khedi Baptist Kehou, in his message said, the truth that shooks the whole world is the fact that he is not here, he has risen from the death. The victory moment where the devil was defeated and crushed under the foot of the cross this is the moment where all the prophesies comes true, where all the scripture passage about the scripture passage about resurrection comes true
The promise is fulfilled in Christ victory, the truth that he is not here he has risen is the defining line of our believe today that made Jesus the only way the truth and the life
Meanwhile, Choir of Chakhesang Baptist Church, Minister Hill and choir of Konyak Baptist Church performed glorifying the victory of Christ
Earlier Khekavi Yeptho pronounced the invocation, Rev. Phom, Jonathan, Pastor Meitei Baptist Church pronounced the benediction and the programme was chaired by Lee Van, Pastor of Phom Baptist Church.
