In a very unfortunate incident, a house accommodating students in Penshe Colony in Noklak Town was burnt down to ashes. The residents of the house are all students, staying away from their parents to pursue their studies.

The tragedy was said to have occurred when the two of the students had left for their village after having appeared the HSLC exam and the other siblings were in school.

The fire at the three-roomed wooden house was first noticed at around 12:30pm by neighbours.

According to sources, fire personnels arrived at the spot immediately where the firefighting lasted for about 30 minutes with the assistance of the public, but nothing could be salvaged from the incident.
