Ura Academy to organise 53rd Tenyidie Annual Seminar

Ura Academy is scheduled to organise the 53rd Tenyidie Annual Seminar from 24-26 May under the theme ‘Mother Tongue: The power of our thought’ at Ura Academy Hall, Mission Compound Kohima.

A press release issued by the organisers informed that the inaugural session on 24 May will be graced by Tenyimi People’s Organization (TPO) president Timikha Koza as guest of honour while exhortation will be delivered by Deo Nukhu, member board of directors, Ura Academy.

On 25 May, there will be orientation programs wherein the key note address will be delivered by Kikruneinuo Liezietsu, Joint Secretary, Ura Academy while the resource persons will be Prof. Buno Liegise, HoD Department of Education, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema; Dr Khotole Khieya, Assoc Professor, Department of Education, Nagaland University Kohima Campus, Meriema; Dr Metseilhouthie Mor, Asst. Professor, Pfütsero Govt College, Phek and Vizonyü Liezietsu.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of School Education has directed all Modern Indian Language Tenyidie and Nagaland Heritage Studies Tenyidie Teachers to participate in the said program.

Ura Academy has further informed that on 26 May, the Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho (TKK) conference will be held where Project Director of TaFMA, Dr Hovithal Sothu will address the gathering in the importance of music and its scope.

Competitions will also be conducted as part of the conference on debate, essay writing competition, choir competition among high school and higher secondary schools, poetry writing competition and story writing competition.

Later in the evening, a valedictory function of the three-day event will be held which will be presided by Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu, President Ura Academy and Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie, Treasurer of Ura Academy.

Further, the organisers have requested the Tenyidie well-wishers, elders, teachers, church leaders, students bodies and organisations to be a part of the program.
