The National Service Scheme Unit of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama in collaboration with National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) organised an Awareness Programme at Government High School, Jakhama on the Ill-effects of Tobacco Consumption with a view to protect public health and spread awareness on tobacco consumption.
The programme started with invocation by Tokani L, Programme Officer (PO) NSS SJC(A) after which a welcome note was delivered by Kevi.
A detailed power point presentation was presented to the students by the resource person, Dr. I. Simon Sumi, District Nodal Officer. Kelengol Neikha, PO NSS SJC(A) also talked about the Ill-effects of tobacco consumption and encouraged the students to say ‘No’ to tobacco and say ‘Yes’ to life.
The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks that was delivered by Vikato Swu, PO NSS SJC(A).
