The Pang Students’ Union (PSU) of Pang Village in Noklak district has appealed law enforcement agencies and prosecutors to expedite the process in late Supou’s murder case and reiterated its appeal for justice for its slain active member.

In an appeal to the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur dated 25 May 2023, PSU repeated that the accused, Thingio and Mongchon, had visited the victim at her rented accommodation in Dimapur at around 8:00 pm on 8 May 2023 and shot lt Supou dead at point blank.

It mentioned that the accused had come armed with the intention to kill the innocent college girl.

The union further stated that it was revealed later that the two accused were cadres of NSCN (Khango Groups) and are in police custody since the crime was committed.

The Pang Students’ Union strongly viewed that the accused are ‘incompatible to live with harmony in the society’ and must be put away for life. ‘.. the accused will continue to commit the same crime of murder which will lead to criminal free society,’ it said while further cautioning against releasing the accused on bail.

PSU urged the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur for prompt action against Thingio and Mongchon without delay and to deliver justice to late Supou.
