Kovi Meyase, Ex-Officio Director (HOD) & Additional Secretary, Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland encouraged teaching faculty of Industrial Training Institute, Phek to impart quality skills for Industry employment, DIPR informed.

He along with a team visited the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Phek on Friday and held a consultative meeting with the principal and staff.

The Director also briefed them about the department’s policies.

Er. N. Nyaksham Phom, Principal, ITI Phek while welcoming the officials highlighted important requirements for the improvement of the ITI.

Er. Alongse Sangtam, Deputy Director shared ideas regarding improvement of ITI performance and also informed that all existing State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) be affiliated to National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in a phased manner and grading of ITI would be done to reflect the current performance level of the Institutions.

The officials later planted tree saplings followed by the release of the G20 Poster by the Director during the Jan Bhagidari program held at the ITI.
