A pilot digital skill training program for Government school teachers is taking place at the Government Middle School, A&B Sector, Mokokchung. The training is part of the “Capacity Building Program for Teachers of Government Schools” currently happening across the state.
This training program was started with a goal of equipping government school teachers with digital skills to improve on the quality of student assessments and records. Government school teachers are being trained in the use of various softwares to aid them in preparing assessment sheets, maintaining student records, and sharing files. The softwares include MS Word, MS Excel, Google Forms, Google Drive, and Chat GPT.

The training under the Capacity Building Program was conducted by Imtinukshi and Imlimoa from NIELIT KOHIMA, Chuchuyimlang Extension center. Dhritishree Bordoloi, a Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, facilitated the training program.
A total of 50 teachers are expected to be trained in all of the above mentioned softwares over a period of 5 days.
