The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C, IAS has said in an Advisory stated that some unscrupulous elements are engaged in selling Government land/property to unsuspecting victims. He, therefore, informed the general public that all such transactions are illegal and void, stated a press release from DIPR.

The DC said such “illegal occupants will be evicted and structures demolished at the expense of the evictee.”

Further, legal action shall be initiated against both the seller and buyer under the relevant section of the law, the order said.
