To facilitate the Income Generation Activities of the communities in the project villages under Nagaland Forest Management Project, the Divisional Management Unit Kiphire in collaboration with the Evergreen Welfare Society NGO organised a ‘Sales Day’ for the three NFMP-SHGs of Old Resithsi Village at the Daily Market/Bazaar, Kiphire Town on Wednesday.

The Self Help Groups sold locally produced organic agricultural items and fruits that were made available for purchase to residents of Kiphire Town on the Sales Day. Some items on sale included local tomatoes, bitter gourd, fresh garlics, fresh bean seeds, green leaves, etc.

The Divisional Forest Officer, Kiphire, Chitsayi, IFS while confirming the success of the Sales Day, said that there was a large turnout and that the SHGs generated a healthy profit.
