On August 3rd, 2023, a meeting was held in Niuland to discuss the upcoming ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Campaign, which is scheduled to take place from August 9th to 15th. This campaign holds special significance as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years of Indian independence, and aims to pay homage to the brave souls who contributed to the nation.
Throughout the week-long event, a series of activities will be organized at the village and block levels across the district. A notable aspect of the campaign involves the installation of monoliths in every village, symbolizing the spirit of the initiative. Additionally, the National Flag will be ceremoniously hoisted, and a significant ecological gesture will involve the planting of 75 indigenous and long-lasting trees in all villages of the district.
