The three-day sports event at the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kiphire, which commenced on August 1, culminated on Thursday with exceptional performances from all teams and players.
Showing a commendable display of civic responsibility and cleanliness, the GHSS Kiphire’s students and teachers took it upon themselves to clean and clear all the trash from the Public Ground area, setting a good example for responsible citizenship.
A teacher in charge of the sports event informed that the Blue House emerged as the champions of GHSS Sports Meet 2023 securing 385 points. Green House followed with 320 points, the Yellow House in 3rd place with 195 points, and the Red House in 4th place with 150 points.

Football matches received tremendous cheers, as players displayed remarkable energy while competing in full-time knock-out matches. The Red House secured the 1st position in football, closely followed by the Green House in 2nd place.
In the enthralling game of Volleyball, the Red House once again claimed the spotlight, earning the 1st position, while the Yellow House secured 2nd place.
Kho kho, the second-most popular traditional tag game in the Indian subcontinent after Kabaddi, witnessed brilliant participation from all teams. In the girls’ category of Kho kho, the Blue House secured 1st place, and the Green House earned 2nd place. Meanwhile, in the boys’ category, the Green House achieved 1st place, with the Yellow House taking 2nd place.
