Mera Maati Mera Desh” Campaign to Commence in Medziphema

Medziphema: Various departments were assigned roles to ensure the successful implementation of the campaign

A meeting was held on August 7, 2023 in the ADC Conference Hall at Medziphema to discuss the upcoming “Mera Maati Mera Desh” campaign. EAC Vithawel Kweho of Medziphema presided over the meeting, outlining the key points of the campaign, which include the following:

  1. Dedication of Shilaphalakams: Erecting memorial plaques to honor Bravehearts, preferably near water bodies or Amrit Sarovars.
  2. Panch Pran Pledge and Selfie: Participants take a pledge holding a fistful of soil (Mitti) and share selfies on the campaign’s website.
  3. Varudha Vandhan: Planting 75 indigenous tree saplings in each village to commemorate 75 years of Independence.
  4. Veeron Ka Vandhan: Felicitation of freedom fighters and their families.
  5. Flag Hosting and Rashtragaan: National flag hoisting and singing of the national anthem at each event.

The chairman elaborated on the sequence of events for each location, involving flag hosting, memorial plaque unveiling, pledge-taking, felicitation of CAPF personnel and freedom fighters, and planting 75 saplings. The campaign aims to honor the Martyred Bravehearts of the nation and is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, commemorating 75 years of Independence. Various departments were assigned roles to ensure the successful implementation of the campaign. The meeting was attended by Heads of Offices, Village Chairmen, and Ward Chairmen.
