The District Institute of Teachers Education (DIET) Wokha in collaboration with Lotha Literature Committee organized a one-day seminar on New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Proficiency in Lotha Language for Lotha subject Teachers of institutions based within Wokha District. The seminar was held on September 30 at Likya Community Hall.
During the seminar, Resource Person Dr Longshibemo Yanthan, briefed about the NEP 2020, the changes that will take place in the education system, urging the participants to be prepared to adapt to the changes that will come.
Thungjamo Tsanglao Chairman, Lotha Literature Committee spoke on the correct usage of meanings, and words. He reminded the teachers that on the careful usage of words and sentences as it is going to impact the students for the rest of their lives.
In the third session, Marcus Lotha, Language Teacher, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Wokha also spoke on the importance of classwork, homework and activities for meaningful engagement with the students.

Meanwhile, Aremo Ngullie, Vice Principal GHSS, Aghunato elaborated on the essence of writing urging the members to engage in writing of poems, essays, plays etc for the growth of Lotha Literature.
Altogether 68 teachers participated in the seminar. The program was chaired by Rev. Dr. L. L Kikon.
