The two-day capacity building training organised by the Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Kohima commenced on Thursday. with the aim to better equip the ministerial staff and the field staff with the latest working procedures to ensure that the working system in the department becomes more efficient.
On day one at IPR Conference Hall, Kohima the trainees which included the ministerial staff of the department from all the district offices, were briefed by the resource persons on a number of subjects like office procedures, service books, account matters, pension matters and e-pay bill system. DIPR mentioned that the resource persons for the two-day training were mostly the senior staff of the Directorate who had over the years gained invaluable experience and were up to date with the latest working system of the government. DIPR photographers will be provided with a course on photography on day 2 two-day of the capacity building training.
In the refresher course, trainees would also get the opportunity to learn to use the latest equipment and learn techniques to improvise and better themselves in the art of photography, it added.
