Officials from Election Commission of India (ECI) comprising of Arvind Anand, Principal Secretary and Santosh Kumar Dubey, Secretary, held a meeting with all the District Election Officers at Hotel Japfü, Kohima on Thursday. The meeting was to review Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls w.r.t. 01.01.2024, First Level Checking (FLC) of EVM & VVPAT machines and to review the poll preparedness of upcoming Parliamentary Election, 2024.

The officials arrived in Nagaland on Wednesday on a two-day visit. According to DIPR, the ECI Officials, upon arrival, conducted separate review meetings with DEOs, EROs, AEROs, Supervisors and BLOs of Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Kohima District on 11th October 2023. The ECI Officials are scheduled for field visit to various polling stations in Kohima town on 12th October, 2023 followed by a review meeting with all the from 10:00 am onwards and inspection of FLC activities in Kohima and Tseminyu Districts in the afternoon.
