Peren district welfare officer informs NSAP, SOAP beneficiaries

Peren: No payment can be claimed without Aadhaar and Bank account

District Welfare Officer Peren, I. Tsungrosangla Ao in a circular has informed all the concerned beneficiaries of NSAP- IGNOAPS (60-79 years), IGNOAPS 80+, IGNWPS, IGNDPS and SOAP under Peren District that payment for the remaining 6 months (FY 2021-2022) has been done through Direct Benefit Transfer for beneficiaries with active SBI accounts on 16th October 2023 under the remarks ‘By Salary’, DIPR stated.

The DWO also informed that an amount of Rs. 1,200/- per beneficiary of Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS); Rs. 3,000/- per beneficiary of IGNOAPS 80+; Rs. 1,800/- per beneficiary of both Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS) and Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS) respectively.

She also added that several beneficiaries are approaching the office claiming their pension even after Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), therefore to avoid confusion they have been requested to update their passbook for clarification.

For Non SBI account holders and Non account holders under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) and State Old Age Pension Scheme (SOAP), the following dates are mentioned for disbursement:

  1. For beneficiaries under Peren Project, at the CDPO Peren’s Office on the 26th and 27th October, 10:00 am onwards.
  2. For beneficiaries under Ahthibung Project, at the CDPO Ahthibung’s Office on the 26th October, 10:00 am onwards.
  3. For beneficiaries under Tening and Nsong Projects, at the CDPO Tening’s Office on the 31st October, 9:00 am onwards.
  4. For beneficiaries under Peren Project, at the CDPO Jalukie’s Office on the 2nd and 3rd November, 10:00 am onwards.

Further, the Beneficiaries have also been asked to note the following points:

  1. Regarding cash payment, should the beneficiary fail to turn up individually, will be entertained only to the next of kin, the particular village’s Anganwadi Worker/Helper or a member of the Village Council.
  2. Under Ministry’s guideline, no payment can be claimed without Aadhaar and Bank account.
  3. Window beneficiaries are required to bring Certificate of Widowhood from Local Pastor/Priest for authentication along with Aadhaar and Bank account.
  4. Disabled beneficiaries are required to bring Disability Certificate along with Aadhaar and Bank account.
