The Office of the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Wokha organized a two days free Football Coaching Camp and Exhibition Match on 30th and 31st October 2023 under the initiative of the Chief Electoral Officer Nagaland, Kohima and in collaboration with Nagaland Sports Association, DPRO, Wokha informed.

The event was conducted at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Football Ground, Wokha, as a part of SVEEP activities in creating awareness among young students for new registration in the Electoral Roll.

The Football Coaching Camp was conducted by a five-member team including AIFF certified coaches. Altogether 56 students (48 Boys and 8 Girls) from various schools and colleges participated in the camp.

Speaking at the camp, Nuhuta Tunyi, SDO (C) Wokha and Nodal Officer SVEEP encouraged the young students to participate in the electoral system by enrolling themselves in the Electoral Rolls and practising Clean Election through informed and ethical voting.

At the event, Help Desk on Voter Registration and Education Centre was provided at the venue to assist the young youths for new registration.

Further, an exhibition match was played among the participants by forming four teams. The winners of the match were awarded with jerseys from the coaches.
