Liang Yanna, a Class 10 student of Little Star Higher Secondary School, Dimapur won the Nagaland state level debate competition held to commemorate Janjatiya Gaurav Divas. The competition was held on Friday at the Christian Higher Secondary School’s Covenant Hall in Dimapur.
The second prize was awarded to Rongsennangba, Class 12 of Little Star Hr Sec School while Avilhu Meyase, Class 12 of Holy Cross Hr Sec School won the third prize.
The debate competition was held on the topic “Ownership and Transfer of Land and its Resources under Article 371(A)”. Students from Little Star Hr Sec School, Holy Cross Hr Sec School, Mission School and Christian Hr Sec School took part in the event.
The event was graced by Secretary Tribal Affairs, Angelina Tajen and Director Tribal Affairs, I. Sino Phom.
The program was organised by the Department of Tribal Affairs in collaboration with Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, DIPR said.
