The Dehradun Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union celebrated its 11th Annual Freshers’ Day on 18th November 2023 at the 7 Miles Farm in Suddhowala, Dehradun under the theme “Redefining Unity”.
At the event, Pastor Along Tzudir, Naga Christian Fellowship, Dehradun said a prayer for the freshers and reminded students of their purpose. The Pastor also exhorted the attendees on the theme “Redefining Unity”, DENSU Information Secretary, Suliba S Sangtam, informed in a press release.

Architect Bopeto Shohe, President, Naga Students Union Dehradun, emphasized on maintaining unity among the Naga community which was supported by Lumchungli Sangtam, President, Dehradun Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union. Sangtam also assured the freshers of the support of the Union for any grievances and asked them to not hesitate to reach out to the Union for anything.
Dr Koko Rose, IFS, Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF), JICA, Uttarakhand Forest Department also graced the occasion with his presence. The 11th Annual Freshers’ Day was attended by student leaders from Nagaland as well as the other Northeast states in Dehradun.
Further, at the event, the DENSU Miss and Mister Fresher 2023 competition was conducted where Miss Sentesangla and Mr Bangtick Phom, both students of Uttaranchal University, were declared winners of the contest.
