The inaugural program of the Inter Club T20 Cricket Tournament was held on November 21.
Mengu Sakhrie, KDCA President, in his Presidential Address highlighted the various activities of the Association including coaching camp and district trials. He shared that the Inter Club T20 Tournament was one amongst the many events planned in the Calendar Year for Kohima District. Sakhrie informed that the association will be organizing an Inter School and Inter College Cricket Tournament next year. Representing the Nagaland Cricket Association as Special guests for the inaugural program, NCA Tournament Committee Members Ahidur Rahman and Philip Lahm expressed their delight at the well-organized tournament by the recently inducted KDCA team. They declared the tournament open with the customary bat and balls.

Honorary Secretary of Nagaland Cricket Association, Hyunilo Khing also attended the 2nd match of the day and gave away the Man of the Match trophies.
The inaugural was chaired by Kenei Sekhose, General Secretary, KDCA. Prayer and short speech was delivered by Cassius Solo, Assistant Pastor, Baptist Revival Church and Convenor of KDCA Advisory Committee.

A coaching camp is also underway at the same venue where four girls and three boys are participating. The coaching camp is being conducted by NCA Certified Coaches. The coaching camp will continue till November 23.

Day 1 – RESULTS
1st Match: Missionshire Cricket Club vs Kohima Hornbills. Missionshire CC won the toss and elected to bowl. Missionshire CC scored 161/6 in 20 overs where Kevilelie Khesoh scored 51 runs, and Manju scored 36 runs. Chasing the target, Kohima Hornbills could manage only 132/8 in 20 overs. Zubir scored 73 for the loosing team. Missionshire CC won the match by 29 runs. The Man of the match was awarded to Kevilelie Khesoh for scoring 51 runs.

2nd Match: Lhisemia Thinuo vs Brotherhood Team
Lhisemia Thinuo won the toss and elected to bowl. The Brotherhood Team scored 168/9 in 20 overs where Teiso scored 32 runs, Keviselhou Sekhose scored 30 runs and Mengu Sachü scored 22 runs.
In a nail-biting finish which went down to the last ball of the match, Lhisemia Thinuo scored 165/7 in 20 overs and fell short of the target by only 3 runs. Nouneyie scored 43 runs and Khriesamhalie scored 41 runs. Brotherhood Team won the match by 3 runs. With 32 runs and 2 wickets, Teiso won the Man of the Match.
