The Ao Students’ Union Dimapur (ASUD) is organising the Dimapur Marathon on 25th November (Saturday). In this regard the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur has issued a travel advisory for the race day from 5:00 am to 8:00 am.

Certain traffic restrictions shall be put in place along the Dimapur Marathon route in order to ensure the safety of the runners and for the smooth regulation of traffic during the duration of the Marathon, the notification stated.

The general public is advised to co-operate with the authorities and plan out their movements during these hours to avoid unnecessary inconveniences, the advisory added.

It also informed that vehicular restrictions will be enforced along the following routes:

10-kilometer run: State Stadium (DC Court) – City Tower – Burma Camp (Veterinary point) – Walford – Super Market – Deluxe point – Holy Cross Junction – City Tower – State Stadium.

21-kilometer run: State Stadium (DC Court) – City Tower – Burma Camp – (Veterinary point) – Purana Bazar – 3rd Mile Junction – Nagarjan Junction – Deluxe point – Holy Cross Junction – City Tower – State Stadium.

ASUD’s Dimapur Marathon has two categories, the Half Marathon (21.097 Km) for both male and female and the 10 K Red Ribbon Run for both male and female.
