Three persons have reportedly drowned in Wokha district on Thursday in two separate incidences at the Doyang Dam.
In the first incident, a man in his late 30s from Moilan village under Wokha district drowned at around 9:00 am today. His body was later recovered and taken to his village for the last rites.

In another incident, two persons belonging to Wokha Village and Englan Village under Wokha district have been reported to have drowned at downstream of Doyang Dam in the district.
Preliminary reports say that the villagers of the two men, one of whom is in his early 20s and the other one in his early 30s, received the information about the incident at around 4:30 pm on Thursday.
It is learned from a reliable source that State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Wokha had been deployed at the site which is reportedly close to the site where the first incident took place. All the three machines of Doyang Power were withdrawn at 5:38 pm on Thursday evening, it has been informed.
