The Ao Students Conference (AKM) has condemned disturbing incident that transpired on the evening of November 28, where four unidentified miscreants, masquerading as law enforcement officials searching for a ‘reported liquor store,’ violently raided the residence of the AKM General Secretary.
The AKM decried the intrusive nature of the invasion, particularly questioning the necessity of inspecting household safes for liquor. The miscreants, masked and armed, ransacked the house, including its vault safes. One of the perpetrators even displayed a M20 Pistol during the intrusion, employing intimidation tactics, including warnings to families about the consequences of reporting the incident.
A press release issued on November 29 by Onenpong, Vice President, and Bangjungkaba Imchen, Assistant General Secretary stated that this reprehensible act not only targets an individual but strikes at the core of the community’s commitment to peace, unity, and collective well-being. “The AKM, stands united against such aggression and extends unwavering support to its General Secretary during this distressing time,” stated the AKM.

In response to this heinous act, the AKM issued a stern warning to the perpetrators. “A grace period of three days is provided for the responsible party to come forward and admit to their actions. Failure to do so will compel the AKM to take matters into its own hands to ensure justice prevails,” warned the AKM.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to upholding peace, justice, and the well-being of the community.
