Under the aegis of the Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA), the selection trial camp for the event of Belt & Free Style Wrestling for Phek District was held on December 9 at the Dr. SC Jamir Badminton Stadium, Pfutsero.

According to a press statement issued by Kuzhovesa Soho, General Secretary CWA, the camp was conducted to participate in the forthcoming Nagaland Olympic Games 2024 scheduled from February 12 to 17 2024.

Altogether 30 wrestlers from all over the Phek District participated in the camp where two best wrestlers (first and second position holder) from each category were selected to represent Phek District in the said Nagaland Olympic Games. The day matches were officiated by Vekhriyi Chüzho, Surhoney Soho and Mhasheve Resuh.
