APO and KVC requests NSF to vacate building on or before December 31

The Angami Public Organisation and Kohima Village Council, in a statement, has directed the Naga Students Federation to vacate its building on or before December 31.

In the statement issued on December 9, the APO and KVC conveyed its unilateral decision adopted in its emergency meeting on December 6 at the APO Office, in Kohima. “Please be informed that we have reaffirmed our decision dated 28.06.2023 which is irreversible, deemed just and unbiased. The decision clearly indicate that the building and the plot legally belonged to the Naga Club which has been kept protected, preserved and also used as it’s functioning office by the NSF till date,” stated the APO and KVC.

However, the two organizations maintained that the existing building is already worn out and in dilapidated condition needing immediate reconstruction.

“The NSF is therefore hereby requested to kindly vacate the building on or before 31st December 2023 to enable the Naga Club to begin the construction work in the interest of the Nagas for posterity,” mentioned the statement issued by Hielievio Solo, Chairman, Kohima Village Council and Razouvotuo Chatsu, President, Angami Public Organization.
